40th Annual Outdoor Arts Festival

Recognized nationally as one of the top 25 fine arts festivals, the Bruce Museum Outdoor Arts Festival takes place this coming weekend, October 9 and 10, with 40 new and returning artists showcasing their work.


This festival features contemporary fine art in oils/acrylics, watercolors, mixed media, drawings and prints, photography, and sculpture.This family-friendly event will also feature art activities, demonstrations, and food.

Meet Ben Bonart

the spirit and works with surrounding elements, whether a product, a room or a city block.

Color, form and light mutually relate creating something new and better.

Meet Joe Sorge

Located in Connecticut, Joe studied at School of Visual Art (SVA) in New York City. His artwork is guided by the organic form, materials and craftsmanship.

WHEN: The festival will take place on the grounds of the museum Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 9 and 10. And will be held rain or shine.


WHERE: The Bruce Museum is located in a park setting just off Interstate 95, Exit 3, at 1 Museum Drive in Greenwich. Entrance to the Outdoor Arts Festival is via the Museum’s east parking lot, along Museum Drive.


PARKING: Festival parking is available in all public areas surrounding the Bruce, including the Island Beach Parking lot, Steamboat Road, and Museum Drive.


WANT TO AVOID DRIVING? The Museum is a short walk from the Greenwich Metro-North railroad station.

the interplay between live animals, scientific specimens, and the work of renowned photographers tells the story of a sprawling ecosystem on the verge of collapse, and the efforts being made to save it.

Chain Reaction: The Photography of Patrick Nagatani

The exhibition will feature the entire Nuclear Enchantment series, a powerful body of work made between 1988 and 1993, which deals with the history of nuclear weapons development in New Mexico, as well as the effects of this industry on the people and places there.
