Talk about a full-circle moment! Markeisha Banks '18 now serves as a supervisor for several DPCR students at their Corporate Work Study placement at UC Health, where she is the Manager of the Communications and Dispatch Center. She is also on track to earn her Master of Social Work from the University of Cincinnati in May 2027. We are so proud of all your hard work, Markeisha!

Ruva (MaryAnn) Chimusoro '15 - Serving as Co-Lead of Vibe Austin, an employee resource group (ERG) at Visa dedicated to empowering Black employees and allies, fostering professional development, and driving inclusion.

Jada Harris '19 - Congratulations on your new position as Coordinator for Student-Athlete Development and Letterwinner Engagement at the University of Cincinnati.

Wintana Demoz '19 - Congratulations on being nominated to join the National Society of Leadership and Success, University of Kentucky Chapter.

Alejandra Ortega Gomez '23 and Cristofer Roblero Aguilar '23 - Congratulations on your marriage. Wishing you a lifetime of happiness!

Daniela Morales '23 - Congratulations on your internship with Congressman Greg Landsman.

Marlene Gonzalez Garcia '23 - Selected for the University of Cincinnati's Senior 100 program, which recognizes 100 students each year who have made a lasting impact across the university through service, scholarship, and engagement.

Aaliyah Collins '25 - Social Media Manager for the Black Student Union and Bellarmine Christian Fellowship Student Leader.

Brian Lusango '25 - Ambassador for Gen-1 at the University of Cincinnati, a program designed to help first-generation students succeed in college.

Jazmin Tubbs '25 - Completed an internship with Duke University & NC Central's Alcohol Research Education (D.CARE) program, where she studied the effects of ethanol and e-cigarette usage on the lungs.

Michelle Rodriguez Velasquez '26 and Valentina Cabrera Lorenzo '26 - Congratulations on completing United States Marine Corps boot camp in September.

TIME TO RENEW YOUR FAFSA

for the '27-'28 academic year! This annual task is necessary if you want access to Pell Grants, federal loans, and institutional scholarships. To make this process as smooth as possible, be sure to check out the DPCR Linktree, where you’ll find a treasure trove of detailed instructions and helpful resources to assist you in completing your FAFSA. The good news is that it is VERY easy to complete this year. *Please note: If you are graduating from college in May 2026, you will not need to fill out the FAFSA.*
