Bruno's & Ripoll's Bulletin is named after the heroic freethinkers Filippo Giordano Bruno and Cayetano Ripoll.

Bruno was burned alive as pictured above by the Catholic Church on February 17, 1600 for refusing to play along with their dogmatic ignorance of Nature and reality.

Cayetano Ripoll was hanged on July 26, 1826 on orders of the Spanish Inquisition for being a Deist and for teaching others about Deism. He was the last person to be murdered by the Spanish Inquisition.

Both of these men are true heroes and are shining examples to all Deists and freethinkers of courage and integrity in the face of Christian/religious ignorance and brutality. They are also reminders to us all of what happens when the "revealed" religions go unchecked.

Faith-Healing Christian Father Loses Attempt to End Murder Case
by Bob Johnson

Yesterday Herbert Schaible's lawyer asked a Philadelphia court to drop the charges of third degree murder against him. Herbert reason heals and his Christian Bible believing wife Catherine, were charged with third degree murder when their eight-month-old son, Brandon, died from treatable pneumonia. He was sick for the last three days of his life and his Christian parents prayed over him instead of using their God-given innate reason and taking him for medical care. (For more information on innocent helpless children being killed by the ungodly/unreasonable teachings of the "revealed"/hearsay religions click here and here. And for our page "Protecting Children From the Bible" click here and for our section on raising children based on Deism with lesson plans click here.)

Brandon is the second of the Schaible's children to die due to their Christian superstition of faith-healing. In 2009 their two-year-old son Kent also had pneumonia and the Schaibles did the exact same thing - they relied on the false Bible promises of healing through the blood of Jesus and prayer. For the unnecessary death of Kent the Schaibles were sentenced to 10 years probation. A requirement of the probation was that they provide regular medical care to their remaining children. It was a violation of their agreement to provide medical care for their children that caused the heartbreaking death of Brandon.

Herbert Schaible told homicide detectives, "We believe in divine healing, that Jesus shed blood for our healing and that he died on the cross to break the devil's power."

His statement makes clear the best way to protect children unfortunate enough to be born into families with Bible believing Christian parents who think faith-healing is a gift from God instead of what it really is, a deadly superstition from men which produces irreversible harm, is to educate them to the reality that the Bible is NOT the word of God and that it strongly violates their REAL gift from God of innate reason. There is nothing that can do this better than Deism!  Let's get to work getting the word out about Deism NOW!
