As we welcome warmer days and the Easter season, it’s a perfect time to explore our vibrant downtown. Whether you're shopping for a unique Easter gift, planning a special meal, or just out enjoying the sunshine, our local shops and restaurants are ready to help you celebrate.
Also, as Streetscape construction begins, we encourage everyone to stay informed. You can sign up for timely updates and notifications through the Town of Brunswick’s website here. Are you a local business owner with more questions? Join our next Retailer's Meeting in the BDA office on Monday, April 14th at 8:30 AM where Chrissy Adamowicz from the Town will provide a brief update.

| Simply Social at Curtis Memorial Library | Our April Simply Social will be at Curtis Memorial Library! Join us on Wednesday the 16th to connect with community members, learn about the library, and enjoy light refreshments. | Discover the history and impact of our local nonprofits during Brunswick’s Jane’s Walk, a global festival inspired by urban activist Jane Jacobs. This one-mile walking tour will take you through downtown Brunswick, visiting key nonprofit organizations that are embedded in the history of the area. You’ll learn about the buildings they occupy, the work they do, and how they contribute to the social fabric of the community. Greetings! My name is Joe, owner/operator at Slam Tilt Records + Games - a new independent store and pinball parlor located at 94 Maine St, Basement (downstairs from the Social Goose!). As we continue to work towards our grand opening, I am thrilled to announce that we have officially soft opened to the public Thu - Sun from 11-9 (with a few extra days and extended hours sprinkled in). This Saturday, April 12th is the world-famous Record Store Day! Stop in between 10am - 10pm and check out some rare collectible vinyl, retro video games, and pinball! Arts Are Elementary is pleased to announce our 2025 Call to Artists! We are seeking Maine-based teaching artists to apply for our artist residencies for the 2025-2026 school year. All types of visual & performing arts are welcome! Applications are due by April 28th.

Twice-Told Tales, described by a recent couple as “the cleanest and most organized of all the used bookstores we have visited all over the world,” offers high quality books, CDs, DVDs, puzzles and children’s materials at very favorable prices, with frequent special sales. We are located at 200 Maine Street, convenient for foot traffic and easy parking. Our donated inventory is restocked daily. Our inventory is donated and our staff are volunteers, so we are able to pass on all profits to Curtis Memorial Library. We are open 10 to 4 Monday through Saturday (and Sunday afternoons in the summer).
Gardening Books are half-price ALL MONTH at Twice-Told Tales. And, weather permitting, join us on Tuesday, April 22, for a fun Earth Day bookmark craft project outside the store.
