Fremont Township is pleased to offer brush chipping service to residents of unincorporated Fremont Township who live on Township-maintained roads during the spring and fall.

Please check your neighborhood’s scheduled chipping date using the link below before placing materials for pickup. Brush Chipping Dates

This service is intended to assist homeowners with the disposal of woody material generated from routine pruning and yard cleanup that might otherwise be burned. It is not intended for the disposal of materials generated by landscapers or tree removal companies, nor for lot clearing.

Please be mindful of the volume placed for pickup. Crews are limited to a maximum of 15 minutes per property, including setup and road cleanup.



Brush Chipping Policy

Every second Saturday in May, letter carriers in more than 10,000 cities and towns across America collect food donations through the NALC Stamp Out Hunger National Food Drive — the largest one-day food drive in the nation.



To donate, please place a box or bag of non-perishable food next to your mailbox on that Saturday before your letter carrier arrives. Your carrier will collect it, the food will be sorted, and donations will be distributed to help support local residents in need, including through our pantry.

We still have some openings for the AARP Defensive Driving Course held on Tuesday, May 26 and Wednesday May 27 from 9:00 am til 1:00 pm in the lower level of our building. Call Nancy at 847 223-2847 to register. You must attend both classes. $20 for AARP members $25 for all others.

Mundelein Park & Recreation District offers a variety of programs exclusively for ages 50 and over. Programs are held at the Regent Center, a multi-purpose center serving the needs and interests of Mundelein and area residents. Click here for more information.

Recycling Drop-Off Available

You can recycle the following items in the shed located in our front parking lot:

• Bedding and pet items (leashes, collars, toys, pet food, etc.) for dogs
• Shoes
• Yarn
• American flags (for proper retirement)
• Eyeglasses and hearing aids
