Park Improvement Project
Located at 530 Grapevine Road, Bub Williamson Park is undergoing a comprehensive improvement upgrade to expand the park's use for the community. This project is being partially financed with Community Development Block Grant funds from the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
Construction Project Update
The construction improvements include a new children's playground, picnic areas with shade sails, a remodeled restroom building, and a loop trail with fitness stations. Other amenities include:
- Drought tolerant landscaping, irrigation, signage, and security fencing.
- Public art.
- Tables, benches, water fountains, and other features in the northern passive nature area.
- Existing amphitheater will be repurposed.
- Upgraded park facilities to meet current Americans with Disability Act standards, which include new sidewalks.
