Meet the Raptors tomorrow! Staff from A Place Called Hope (APCH) will bring 3 different raptors. Each bird was sick or injured and survived with care from A Place Called Hope in Killingworth. Meet these beautiful birds and learn how to protect them from harm. The program is Free and appropriate for all ages. A parent or guardian must accompany children.

Bubblemania 7/30 at 2 pm


Experience Casey Carle and Bubblemania! He delights audiences everywhere with his amazing bubble tricks and his humor! He will amaze you with the most incredible bubbles you’ve ever seen and will teach you science too! The program is Free and appropriate for all ages. A parent or guardian must accompany children.

Dark Skies 7/30 at 7 pm

A World Without Dark Skies: How Light Pollution is Impacting Humans and Ecosystems

Learn about light pollution in the Connecticut River Valley and the effects of an artificially brightened night sky, including the impact on natural cycles in aquatic and terrestrial life. 


Join Misha Semenov-Leiva and Alan Sheiness for a fascinating presentation in partnership with the East Haddam Sustainability Committee!


Location: East Haddam Historical Society, 264 Town Street.

Free for members and children 12 and under; suggested donation of $5.00 for non-members.
