Petaluma Bounty's Annual Report
Dig into some of our accomplishments from 2018

It is with a lion's heart of service, humility and gratitude that we are able to proudly honor our shared accomplishments during the 2018 growing season.

This report highlights 2018 program accomplishments. Also of note and new this year, is the Bounty's involvement in crucial policy conversations about food security, and two ground-breaking research projects with the University of California, Davis and UC Cooperative Extension (UCCE).

With a handful of staff members and a vast network of volunteers and supporters, we are changing our food system starting from the soil microbiology at the Bounty Community Farm to the state capital. We are proud of our shared accomplishments and look to 2019 with excitement, curiosity, and a steadfast commitment to our guiding principles!

Meet Reyna Yagi: Assistant Community Farm Manager

Reyna is the new Assistant Community Farm Manager at Petaluma Bounty. She is so happy to be welcomed to the farm and a part of the development and care of the land.

Reyna hails originally from the East Bay where recently she was immersed in the urban agriculture movement with roles at youth urban farm Acta Non Verba, UC Cooperative Extension of Alameda County and Oakland's Food Policy Council. She has an undergraduate degree in Environmental Science & Policy and graduate degree in Food Security. She completed the Bay Area Farmer Training Program with the Multinational Exchange for Sustainable Agriculture (MESA) and continued her farm training on local farms in Sebastopol. Farm-To-School-To-Farm: Spring Field Trips at Bounty Farm
Book your visit today!

With the new year beginning and spring right around the corner, it's time to start planning school field trips! Petaluma Bounty provides farm-based educational experiences at Bounty Farm through field trip programming for students in kindergarten through 5th grade and through service-learning programming for older youth and we are booking now.

Through our field trip program, students engage in experiential and exploratory stations around the farm that teach food literacy & sustainable agriculture, nurture environmental stewardship and curiosity, and spark conversations around food's central place in our community. Topics in sustainable agriculture & botany are covered through age appropriate hands-on curriculum that is affordable and accessible. For older youth, we offer service-learning experiences on the farm that provide opportunities for students to engage in and address real needs in their community related to food justice and community food security.
