The Cultivator - January 2022
Buckeye Bean Pot
A Vacation from the Garden
Original/Long Handle Giveaway!
The CobraHead Newsletter
Oof, what can we say about January? It's Wisconsin. It's cold. What else is new? This is the month when Noel starts planning his garden for the year, but mostly he's content to take a break from the physical work.

Judy likes to keep us warm by cooking hearty, comforting meals. We love beans in our family, and this time she experimented with Buckeye beans. Read below for a bean recipe that can be used in many different ways!

This month, we've added a new section to our newsletter called "Andy's Photo Corner." Andy has taken an interest in photographing local landmarks, and we thought it would be fun to start sharing these pics with our readers. They have little to do with gardening, but we expect you won't mind too much.

For those of you who have pre-ordered Broadforks, it's going to be late February before they're ready to ship. We had hoped to have them ready by this month, but production is taking a little bit longer than anticipated. Thanks for sticking with us!

Don't forget to enter our monthly giveaway (just reply to this email and request to be entered). As always, feel free to leave us any additional comments when you do!

We eat a lot of beans. Judy is always trying new varieties to cook. This time it's buckeye beans, and you can use them in nachos, tacos, burritos, enchiladas, and more.

With nothing happening outside in January, Noel uses some of the downtime to plan for the new season.

Andy's Photo Corner
In recent years, I've taken an interest in photographing some of the historic and quaint spots in our hometown of Cambridge, Wisconsin. One of my favorite things to do is to take a walk right around sunset so I can capture the gorgeous light. These two photos are of an old mill on Main Street that in the '90s was converted to a restaurant. In the summer, it's a lovely place to relax out on the patio and simply enjoy life with refreshing beverages in our hands. -Andy
