Scout Executive Minute

Today we reflect and resolve. My own reflections on the past year fill me with gratitude at what scouts and leaders in our council have come together to accomplish. Units have grown significantly delivering the adventure to many more youth and their families. More scouts experienced outdoor programs than the previous two years. Digital experiences continued to expand to serve more and more individuals beyond our boundaries.

To make a resolution is to set a firm course of action. Making and keeping resolutions is a challenging endeavor. In Scouting, our Mission and Vision provide a constant course of action. And it is within those statements that the Buckeye Council finds and resolves its course of action. Whatever your position in Scouting, I hope you will join me in this important and worthy pursuit.

Our Mission: The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.

Our Vision: The Boy Scouts of America will prepare every eligible youth in America to become a responsible, participating citizen and leader who is guided by the Scout Oath and Law.
