Do Your Duty to Country
Each year, hundreds of Scouts participate in Operation Flag to demonstrate their duty to country. Scouts do a good turn by taking part in a Memorial Day or Independence Day event. Any Scout who participates earns a patch that can be purchased at any Scout office in the Buckeye Council.
Scouts can participate in Operation Flag this Memorial Day or Independence Day by completing two of the following:
- Decorate veteran graves with flags
- Take part in a Memorial Day event
- Retrieve Flags after the Holiday
- Write an essay “Why do we celebrate Memorial Day/Independence Day"
Pre-order patches now to be delivered directly to your house at www.leadscouting.org. There will be a limited supply available for those who do not pre-order.

Whether you jumped at Sky Zone or Altitude Trampoline Park, skated at Alice Noble Ice Rink, or explored Beech Creek Botanical Gardens we are so glad you participated!
