Get Hooked On Scouting at Family Adventure Camp

Family Adventure Camp is going to be a blast this fall for Cub Scouts as hundreds of new scouts will begin their scouting adventure! These events are designed for the whole family to provide an exciting adventure at the start of the new school year! While at the event, kids will get a taste of what Cub Scouting offers such as camping, shooting sports, games, crafts, campfires, spending quality time with your family and more! Participants can arrive Friday night to camp and stay through the weekend or can simply arrive for just the activities on Saturday.

"Family Adventure Camp is awesome because it immediately delivers the promise of why kids join," says Cubmaster Steve Walker. "I most enjoyed the chance to get to know families while walking down the trail and sitting around the campfire. It's a great experience that the whole family can attend including siblings who aren't in Scouts yet."

Scout Executive Minute

Each fall arrives with a buzz as we prepare for our children to return to school and begin a new year of adventures. And the best adventures always involve the whole family. Scouting activities are perfect opportunities for your entire family to get involved and participate together.

I hope you'll take advantage of Family Adventure Camp or a Fall Camporee and share the fun of Scouting with your family as well as kids and leaders from across the area. Whether you are brand new to Scouting, or have been participating for years, the fall has many adventures to offer your entire family.
