Remembering Anna Payne '13
Bucks alumna Anna Payne passed away on February 3rd, 2025. Anna was a Middletown Township Supervisor and proud Bucks graduate.
At the Board of Trustees meeting on February 13th, Board Chair Thomas Jennings offered these words in honor and memory of our alumna, Anna Payne:
"Imagine it is 15 years ago, 2010, and we are all here in this room in the same roles. Our guest for the pledge of allegiance that morning might have been a business student who is a graduate of Neshaminy High School. She would earn her degree from our College later that year. Her name is Anna Payne."
"In 37 years she contributed extraordinary service to the well-being of patients living with serious illnesses. She was also a model public servant, both elected and appointed, serving constituents in her township and throughout the county. She did it all with grace, humor and a smile, undaunted by her own challenges."
"We often say that this College changes lives. It does but it is actually the people who come through these doors who can bring that change to near perfection throughout the community."
"And that is Anna Payne. In the campaign for selfless sacrifice and service to others, Anna won by a landslide."
"Please pause for a moment of reflection on the legacy of our alumna, Anna Payne."
