Diamond Comic Distributor News - Just in, the original winning bidder Alliance Entertainment is now who will take over all Diamond companies including Diamond U.K., toy manufacturing, etc. That will finalize by the end of April. see details in News and Notes.

Check the back cover for four of my favorite new items. Taschen's XXL EC Weird Science just arrived. We have just 100 signed bookplates to go with our copies. Earliest orders get earliest numbers; we have 18 pre-ordered as I write this.

Pirates of Venus/ERB Illustrated Edition is here and it's gorgeous. As I write this we still have tiny numbers of the last two books in this series, The Moon Maid (7, $350, $300, $50 off) and At the Earth's Core ($300, 3 left, out of print).

Sky Masters came in and it is outstanding, full of never before seen Jack Kirby and Wally Wood space adventures, all full color Sunday Pages.

Finally, DC Finest Plastic Man collects his origin and first 36 adventures from the pages of Police Comics, plus his first two solo issues. All at a bargain price, far less than the long-ago DC Archives sets. PS has published Police Comics Vol 1 with the complete 64-page issues #1-3, which have Reed Crandalls' Firebrand and lots more features--before they realized Plastic Man should take over the cover spot. That's just like the first issues of Action Comics when they didn't know Superman would be cover magnet!! Police didn't make the catalog but is available now, only in softcover [POLCOM01 $32.99].

We will no longer be mailing Printed Catalogs to Canada or Overseas

The costs of mailing a printed catalog outside the U.S. has gotten prohibitive. If you are not already, you can easily download the digital catalog AND do it weeks earlier than you’d be receiving a printed copy. If you still want a printed catalog, you can add one to your shopping cart, free, with any order--or you can ask for one in your shopping cart when you check out. We will include it free of charge with your order. But we will not send out individual catalogs to you any longer.

Honestly, we’ve seriously considered going all digital on the catalog and no longer printing them--mailing and printing costs just keep going up. Very few businesses do print catalogs any more. You get far better information with our catalog download: you can link to each item for more scans and descriptions. Just click on any item.

But it’s hard to buck tradition…and our 55 years of sending out printed catalogs! So, this is our compromise for now; outside the U.S., digital will need to suffice.
