Mobile Vaccine Unit Purchased by Hays County
On April 10, 2023, Hays County announced in a press release the purchase of a mobile unit for use as a vaccine clinic. "The idea of a mobile vaccination unit for the Hays County Local Health Department (HCLHD) surfaced in 2018. The staff was looking for ways to improve vaccination rates for children in vulnerable communities and felt a mobile unit would allow the health department to connect with more community members who were unable and/or reluctant to come to the clinic." Buda Makes Surprise Appearance
on San Antonio Menu
One weekend the San Antonio Riverwalk, Charles Oberrender found a surprise while perusing the menu at the Lone Star Café. Buda! Our own lovely city is the name sake for a menu item, the Buda Buffalo Chicken Sandwich! Charles got a kick out of this little find, and so did we! Which is why this fun little story had to be shared with y'all. Unfortunately Charles did not end up getting this Buda sandwich, so that leaves us wondering "How is it?" Might have to try it the next time your at the Riverwalk.
E-mail Signature Revision
As we serve our community and strive to do so with at highest quality, the Customer Service Excellence Team has created a survey to ensure we continue to do just that. The survey link and call to action line has been added to the template for your "branded" Buda e-mail signature. The file containing Buda's branded email signature with the survey link can be found on the shared drive at the following file path:

In the file, the City's logo, the social media images at the end of the signature, and the survey are already hyperlinked to go directly to those respective sites.

To add it to your Outlook email signature, open the file, select and copy the information as shown above. Next, open your Outlook program, click on the "file" menu, scroll down and click on "options." When the menu box opens, click on "mail" in the left column. On the right side, click on "signatures." Start a "new" signature and name it. Then you will be able to paste the signature into the dialog box. Remember to replace your name, title, phone, etc., in the appropriate areas. Also, the images may or may not appear after pasting the information into the dialog box, but they are there. Save and close, and completely close the Outlook program. After you restart Outlook, click on "new email," and the signature should appear with the images included.
