Who You Gonna Call?
Not the Ghostbusters, but it's Corporals Casey Lopasky and Martin Rodriguez! A Buda resident called regarding her family that had a tire blow out on the highway and Martin and Casey were the responding officers. The resident was impressed by the level of service Buda officers gave and very grateful for the assistance rendered. She said that the officers did everything in their power to assist her family. Thank you for representing the City of Buda and the Buda Police Department with excellence! Help us show Corporal Casey Lopasky and Corporal Martin Rodriguez some love for doing a great job!
The Results Are In: The Word Is Budans!
Based on the responses on the poll in last months Buda Bee; Budan is the proper term when referring to Buda Residents. A write-in term also was received, "Budazns". Thank you to all who participated!
Fun With the Buda Parks and Recreation Team
To celebrate Parks and Recreation Month, we had a little fun the Buda Parks and Recreation crew. Consider it Buda's meme ripped from the popular TV show "Parks & Recreation."

Seriously, please join us in saying a heartfelt "Thank you" to the entire Buda Parks and Recreation Department for all they do to make Buda and its second-to-none parks system fantastic places to relax, play and "breathe easy here."

Getting to Know You
Meet Daniel Signorio! Daniel recently joined the City of Buda as IT Administrator.

Daniel is originally from Santa Clara, Calif., about 50 miles south of San Francisco. Aside from his expertise in solving technology problems, Daniel enjoys spending time with his family, coaching softball, cycling, volunteering, custom knife making, and roleplaying games like Dungeons and Dragons. Daniel has two daughters that are his pride and joy: Lilyann, 12, and Annalee, 10; he also has two dogs: a Lab mix named Duke and a Chihuahua named Vincent Van Dog (he is missing part of his ear) that goes by Vinnie.

As the IT Administrator for the City of Buda, Daniel loves helping people. Whether he is fixing someone’s computer, planning new infrastructure, helping on projects, or just saying “hi,” he loves to make other people’s day better.

“A servant mentality is shared amongst all the departments. In the corporate world, everything is about the bottom line, and making the shareholders richer. At the city, we are all here to serve the community,” Daniel said.
Krystal Juarez joined the City of Buda January 4, 2023 as Part-time Municipal Court Clerk. While she is an Austin native, Kystal lived in Anchorage, Ala., for a few years! Buda has been home to Kystal and her family for the past five years.

Outside of work Krystal, her spouse, Erik, and her three daughters, Isabel, 13, Mariah, 5, and Erika, 6 months, love to go hiking together. She also occupies her time with a good read and exercise!

Krystal loves everything about her position due to previous experience of 12 years in the criminal justice field and being a police officer in 2016! She served as an officer with the Austin ISD Police Department and the Travis County Constable Office.

Krystal’s favorite part about working for the City of Buda is “how welcoming everyone is, and how important the community is to everyone.”
Say "Hi" to Krystal and Daniel!
