Congratulations to all the seniors that are graduating.  Best of luck to all of you.

Happy Father's Day to all the Dads out there.   Enjoy your day!

Thanks to all who donated to Buddy Baseball on "Give Day Tampa Bay." Matthew Mezzei and I were on the live streaming broadcast.  We raised $1450!

July 4th Parade
July 4th Parade
Come join us for the July 4th Parade in Temple Terrace. The kids and a few adults will be on the float tossing out beads and candy.  Adults will be walking the parade route (about two miles) handing out beads and flyers for our next season. The parade starts at 10:00 am and we need to be at our staging area around 8:30 am. Or just come on out and watch the parade! Click on the link below and let me know if you are interested in being in the parade with us.

Player Spotlight
Zack Kantrowitz
Zack will be 17 next month and attends Plant City High School. This was his 9th season of Buddy Baseball.   He's a big fan of ventriloquists, and has his own ventriloquist's figure named "Little Jeff."  His favorite restaurant is Chuck E. Cheese.
Buddy Spotlight
Player Jack Emerick and Buddy Josh Hodorski
Josh just graduated from Berkeley Preparatory School and will be attending Drexel University in the fall.  Josh has played eight seasons of Buddy Baseball.  His favorite subject in school is Photography.  Good luck at Drexel.
Coach  Spotlight
Doug Perusse
Doug has been a coach on the Sharks for six seasons.  Besides Buddy Baseball, he loves to watch baseball and plays in a baseball league several days a week. Doug races motorcycles and competes in Ironman triathlons.

Doug recently moved to Cailfornia. He had to leave mid season, but came back for the last game and the end of season party.  Doug is considering starting a Buddy Baseball league in his new community.
Volunteer  Spotlight

Kenny Eastman
Congratulations to Kenny Eastman our Head Groundskeeper, Catcher/Umpire and all around volunteer for over five years! Kenny was an award recipient at the Hillsborough County Public Schools 17th Annual Excellence in Action Awards. Pictured - nominator Ed Guthman and Kenny. Way to go Kenny!
Sponsor Spotlight
Thanks to the Pepin Family Foundation for their Grand Slam sponsorship.  They have been with us since the very beginning.   Thanks for your commitment to Buddy Baseball!

Where are they now?
Eric (Buddy) Thompson
Buddy played Buddy Baseball (he started out thinking the league was named for him!) for seven seasons and still proudly displays all of his game balls in his room.  Buddy is almost 23 now and is graduating from Brewster Technical College where he spent this year in their culinary program. He works part time for a local caterer and loves working around food.  He is beginning to live independently in a Carrollwood group home, spending weekends there for now and moving toward full time independent living sometime soon. He is still together with his girlfriend and Buddy Baseball player Lindsey Danner - they've been together over two years.  He's a huge Rays and Lightning fan and loves playing sports.
Shop and Share
Lilly Pulitzer
Come on out to see us this Saturday, June 4th from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Lilly Pulitzer store at International Mall in Tampa. We have been asked to be part of their "Shop & Share" event. 10% of their sales during that time will be donated to Buddy Baseball!

Did you know?
Did you know that the top two schools participating in Buddy Baseball this past season were Pepin Academies and Focus Academy.  We had 11 players from the Pepin Academies and 9 players from Focus Academy.
