Welcome to our first Buddy Baseball Newsletter!  We will be highlighting players, buddies, coaches, parents and sponsors. Giving you news and information about what is going on with Buddy Baseball. In this issue we would like your help with our Buddy Baseball Survey. (see below)

Buddy Baseball Survey
Every season we ask for your help with our Buddy Baseball Survey.  Please take a few minutes to complete this quick survey.

Give Day Tampa Bay
Give Day Tampa Bay is a community-wide, 24-hour online giving challenge hosted by The Community Foundation of Tampa Bay. This charitable event helps Tampa Bay area nonprofits raise much-needed dollars and bring awareness to their organization.

How it Works
It's so simple to participate. Just visit this website on May 3, 2016 anytime between 12 a.m. and 11:59 p.m. and with just a few simple clicks, you can make a donation to your favorite nonprofit organization, such as Buddy Baseball. :) Donations from the public will be boosted with funds from corporate sponsors of Give Day Tampa Bay. Nonprofits can also win monetary awards and additional prizes based on their day's donations.  Here is the link to donate.

Player Spotlight
Andrew - Bombers
Andrew is 16 years old and attends Freedom High School. This is his eighth season with Buddy Baseball. He recently threw out the first pitch at his high school's baseball game.  Andrew travels all over the US and the world using street view on google maps.

Patricia - Ravens
Patricia is 17 years old and a junior at Strawberry Crest High School - International Baccalaureate She has been Lindsey's buddy for almost every season.  Her favorite restaurant is California Pizza Kitchen.

Coach  Spotlight
Sarah Otteson - Tigers
Sarah Otteson was one of our original buddies back in the fall of 2009.  She is now a Sophomore at USF and is one of the coaches for the Tigers.

Jim Carlstedt - Thunder
Jim has been with Buddy Baseball since our first season and has been a coach since the second season.  He is also the treasurer of our Board of Directors and a team sponsor.

McDonalds - Caspers Company
Caspers Company has supported us since our very first Meet and Greet and many of our end of season parties. They have provided us with Cheeseburgers and chicken McNuggets for over 7 years for all of our Meet and Greet luncheons.

Buddy Baseball Bash
Join us for our end of season party featuring bowling, lunch, balloon artists, face painter, raffle prizes, music and fun!

Business Expo
We attended the Temple Terrace Chamber of Commerce Business Expo in March.  Had a chance to talk to a lot of people about our program and to the Temple Terrace city officials for an event that we are planning for the fall season.
