Camden County Receives Distinguished Budget Presentation Award
Government Finance Officers Association is pleased to announce that Camden County Board of Commissioners, Georgia, has received GFOA's Distinguished Budget Presentation Award for its budget.

The award represents a significant achievement by the entity. It reflects the commitment of the governing body and staff to meeting the highest principles of governmental budgeting. In order to receive the budget award, the entity had to satisfy nationally recognized guidelines for effective budget presentation.

New Citizen Damage Reporter Available Online
Camden County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) has partnered with Orion Damage Assessment System to assist Camden County property owners with reporting property damage. Residents are encouraged to report damage in Camden County caused by thunderstorms, tornadoes, tropical storms, wildfires, or man-made incidents.

“We are excited to have this new tool available before the start of this year’s hurricane season,” stated Emergency Management Director Chuck White. “Although this tool will not only be used for hurricanes, knowing the location and severity of damage after any natural or man-made disaster helps accelerate the recovery process.”

Take Action during Pet Preparedness Month
June is Pet Preparedness Month and all Camden County residents are encouraged to educate themselves on the steps needed to ensure the safety of their pets in the event of a disaster. Camden County Emergency Management Agency (EMA), along with the Georgia Emergency Management and Homeland Security Agency (GEMA/HS), is sharing information throughout the month of June on how to prepare pets. 

Memorial Day Office Closure
Camden County Offices and Courts are closed, today, Monday, May 31, 2021, for Memorial Day. Offices and courts will reopen with regular hours tomorrow, Tuesday, June 1, 2021.

Curbside Collections for unincorporated Camden County and the Camden County Landfills are maintaining a regular schedule.

Board of Commissioners Regular Meeting
The Camden County Board of Commissioners will hold a Regular Meeting and a Solid Waste Authority Meeting at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 1, 2021.
