TED/TAT Budget Conference Update #3 Not final numbers -- this is a process.
The TED/TAT first budget conference meets again this morning at 9:45 (you can watch this budget conference here https://thefloridachannel.org/ at 9:45 a.m.) and from reading the House Offer #1 spreadsheet, it looks as if the House recommends what is in Senate Offer #1 from last night for the Florida Department of State (DOS) Division of Cultural Affairs (DCA) Matching Grants' Programs:
Both the House and Senate as of this morning agree to
● $2,980,028 to fully fund all 132 Culture Builds Florida Matching Grants
●
$12,300,000 for Cultural and Museum Matching Grants (would provide approximately 29% of each of the 478 recommended grant amounts)
● $5,970,000 for Cultural Facilities Matching Grants (would fund first 18 on ranked list and partially fund #19)
We're going through the spreadsheet this morning for legislative-project agreements in both the House and Senate and will update you later today.
NOTE: We're not giving up on our continued request to restore to a higher appropriation for the Cultural and Museum Grants to our revised ask of $27,593,312.

We should all appreciate that we're in a much better place regarding state investments in DOS DCA matching grants than we were last year.
