Northern Neck Churches

Combined World Communion Sunday Service in the Northern Neck

On October 6, 2024, the four Northern Neck Presbyterian churches—Campbell Memorial, Milden, St. Andrews, and Tappahannock—came together for World Communion Sunday, reviving a tradition of joint worship and fellowship. Held at St. Andrews, the service brought around 100 attendees who raised over $24,000 for Presbyterian Disaster Assistance’s hurricane relief fund following Hurricane Helene. Rev. Shannon Hendricks delivered a sermon on the theme “salt and light,” while communion and music were shared by leaders and choirs from all four congregations. The event, planned by representatives from each church, ended with fellowship and food, inspiring many to suggest more frequent gatherings.

2025 Plan Changes

The 2025 Benefits Plan is the outcome of the season of rebuilding initiative launched by the Board of Pensions in 2023. Through conversations with the broader Church, in face-to-face meetings and in Virtual Town Halls, the dues structure was updated to enable more congregations to support their pastoral leadership through the Benefits Plan.
