The Overdue Jersey City Budget Hearing

& Other October Events...

Greetings Good People,

The Overdue 2022 City Budget was finally presented on Tuesday, October 18th. Unfortunately, the newly approved budget will undoubtedly cause an increase in property taxes. This is why everyone should be concerned, at all times.

As a council, we have failed the residents of Jersey City; from a delayed budget to increased taxes; we've cut vital services but still managed to give merit raises.  It's disgraceful.

There’s nothing we can do at this juncture but, together, we can work to prevent future tax increases by paying close attention, being engaged, and getting involved. I challenge you, my constituents, to be vigilant and continue to offer your input. We must be more proactive, as opposed to just reactive.

With that said, be great on purpose!

I hope to see you out and about at the upcoming events listed below.
