2026 Budget Process Underway

We have begun preparing the 2026 Budget under the Strong Mayors Legislation, with the Mayor sharing the budget. The budget outlines how funds are invested in essential services and projects, and residents are encouraged to get involved by attending upcoming meetings or submitting written feedback.

Residents can get involved by attending upcoming budget meetings or submitting written feedback aligned with the meeting schedule. Key dates include the Mayor’s Budget release on December 22, followed by budget review sessions on January 13, 15, and 16. There will also be a public meeting for Fees and Charges on January 12 at 5:00 p.m.

Keeping Meaford Moving

Our Transportation and Operations team is prepared for the winter season, with 13 plow routes clearing more than 400 km of roads and sidewalks in priority order. Residents can help by following overnight parking rules and keeping driveways, hydrants, and bins clear.

Online payments for building permits are now live through Cloudpermit

Residents, builders, and contractors can now complete permit applications, approvals, and payments entirely online for a faster, more convenient process. Meaford is continuing to work with our third-party provider during this transition, but all services, applications, inspections, and now payments, are available as usual.
