John Phillip Notestine Geology Scholarship
This scholarship was established in 2002 by John and Gail Notestine in honor of their son, John Phillip, who graduated in 1984 with a Bachelor of Science majoring in Geology.
Cristian Campos is the 2021-2022 recipient of this scholarship. He is a Junior Environmental Science major with a minor in Pre-law.

National Chemistry Week!

The WT American Chemistry Society (ACS) Student Chapter and
Don Harrington Discovery Center celebrated National Chemistry Week by providing demonstrations to students from six regional school districts during National Chemistry Week. Demonstrations focused on the theme of kinetics and included temperature, enzymes, surface area and activation energy. “We were so excited to be able to do this in-person again and see how excited the students were about the demonstrations,”
said Dr. Nick Flynn, Professor of Biochemistry and ACS advisor.

The Rangeland Management Team competed at the Texas Section of the Society for Range Management in Victoria. They competed in Plant Identification and in the undergraduate Range Management Exam portion. The team placed second overall, only seven points separating them from
first place. Well done, Buffs!
