Established in 2012 by former students in honor of Mrs. Treasure Brasher a fun-loving instructor and proud graduate, earning a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry in 1960. Mrs. Brasher inspired many budding scientists and educators as she taught from the heart, making science approachable and personal for her students. She retired from teaching in 2003 and was bestowed the honor of Professor Emeritus in 2010.
Mrs. Brasher also worked with the Panhandle Science Conference for three years before it transformed into the Panhandle Mathematics and Science Conference for about 20 years. She also coordinated the WT portion of the Pantex Science Bowls for over 20 years.
The Treasure Brasher Endowment embodies the passion Mrs. Brasher had for WTAMU and its students!
The 2021-2022 recipient is Duncan Miertschin, SR. Physics.
