Parents of Wolves,
As we reach the midway point of the school year, I wanted to give an update on our student's academic progress and encourage your continued partnership in supporting their learning and development. Our teachers have been working diligently to provide engaging and rigorous instruction for all students to meet grade-level standards. We have implemented several new instructional strategies and interventions this year to better meet student’s needs. While we are proud of the tremendous effort displayed by students, there are students who have not yet met the expectations here at Buford Middle School. We believe that regular communication between home and school is essential for student success. I encourage you to frequently check your child's grades through our powerschool parent portal. As well as, reaching out to teachers with any questions or concerns. Partnering with you is key to ensuring your child is meeting the expectations here at BMS. In addition to academics, it is critical that we work together to build students' social-emotional skills: responsibility, resilience and empathy. Modeling courtesy, respect and patience at home will reinforce the positive culture we strive to create here at school. Strong schools depend on the joint efforts of staff, students and families. We can ensure all our students progress academically and socially, by maintaining open communication and working cooperatively. I look forward to working with you to help your child succeed.
