Every July 1 for the past few years, Chicago’s minimum wage has increased per the Minimum Wage Ordinance. The Chicago minimum wage is tiered depending on the number of employees. As of July 1, 2022, the minimum wage in Chicago is $15.40 per hour for employers with 21 or more workers, and $14.50 per hour for employers with 4 to 20 workers.
