Community Conversations: Ithaca's West End

Join your neighbors at Personal Best Brewing! Community Conversations serve as a forum for the Tompkins Chamber and Visit Ithaca to engage leaders of businesses and organizations in different localities within Tompkins County and allow us to better understand and support the unique needs of each community. All business owners, non-profit leaders, and government officials are invited to attend.


The event is free and open to all invested in Ithaca's West End businesses and organizations, registration is requested. You do not need to be a Chamber member to participate.

This event allows members to learn about Chamber programs, resources, and events and how to get involved to make the most of your membership. Hosted by Gina Cesari, Member Relations Coordinator, this program will walk you through everything there is to know about the Tompkins Chamber and the vibrant business community in Tompkins County.

Is your museum counted in the official NY Museum Study?

The NEW YORK STUDY OF PUBLIC AND PRIVATE MUSEUMS is a sort of ‘census’ of all chartered museums in the state of New York, conducted by Empire State Development, New York State Council on the Arts, New York State Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation, New York State Department of State, and New York State Education Department.



THE STUDY IS GATHERING COMPREHENSIVE DATA FROM MUSEUMS TO:

• understand if funding and support are sufficient

• enable informed decision making

• build support for initiatives that aim to keep all museums in New York state open, accessible, and delivering impact in our communities

City of Ithaca Survey for Businesses

The City of Ithaca hereby requests input from business owners & managers to help guide the creation of its economic development strategy. The strategy will be action-oriented, with prioritized steps that the City can take in the next several years to help achieve its economic development vision.


Responses will be kept anonymous. The online survey linked below will only take about 8 minutes to complete. Please feel free to share it with other businesses located in the City of Ithaca.

 Seeing Ithaca Art Exhibit


This year State of the Art Gallery will again be sponsoring Seeing Ithaca Through the Eyes of Artists. It will take place during the month of August 2025, with gallery members and guests exhibiting work on the theme "Seeing Ithaca."



In addition, exhibits will be hosted at various galleries and other venues that show art around town. All exhibits will celebrate Gallery Night on August 1, 5-8 pm. PLUS at least 25 artists will have their studios open on August 10th from 12-5 pm.
