DeltaMath: A Great Way to Practice Math

Delta Math was created by NYC Math teacher Zach Korzyk to help his students practice skills without copying from each other.  This free platform allows teachers to assign skills-based exercises that are unique for each student.  One of the conundrums that Math teachers face is homework -- if we assign it, students often copy from each other...if we do not assign any, they do not get any practice.  The next frontier is to build non scannable types of questions that the cell phone camera is unable to solve.

To get people's attention about Math, just add food!  This hit the Internet in January and became an instant hit.  It may seem like the 2 small pizzas is a better deal than the single pie (and they may be easier to share!) but the actual area in square inches is greater for the single 18" pizza.

A traffic light has a cycle through green, yellow, red, green, yellow, red, etc.
Red and green are each 30 seconds with a 3 second yellow inbetween.
What is the probability that while Dora is watching during a random 3 second interval that the color changes?

Answer to January Brain Puzzler: 210 miles
