Build Up Supports Efforts to Secure $2 Million for a County Wide Child Care Relief Fund

In July, the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors allocated $2M of CARES Act funds to the Child Care Relief Fund. Eligibility for this grant program is limited to licensed child care centers and family child care homes as well as license-exempt public recreation and school-district operated programs in the county that have been adversely impacted by COVID-19.

TEACHER PIPELINE PROJECT Enrollment and registration for the Fall Term of the North County Teacher Pipeline Project is OPEN! Community Equity Collaborative (CEC) in partnership with local colleges, school districts and community organizations provides pathways into early learning careers by bundling early childhood education courses with wraparound support, such as loaner laptops, financial aid assistance, career coaching, employment connections and more.

This year, the program will be offered online with courses available through Skyline College for students in North San Mateo County. Last day to enroll in semester length classes is Tuesday, September 1. For additional program details and to begin the enrollment process,
