Let's Connect provides an opportunity for you to get to know fellow Daytona Regional Chamber members using the breakout rooms in Zoom. 15 minute sessions with 2-3 other members will give you a chance to share about your business and to get to know theirs.

While gathering in-person is still challenging, the Daytona Regional Chamber of Commerce is pleased to provide a virtual platform to get your 2021 business building off to a great start.

Everyone's Invited to the 101st Annual Meeting presented by Halifax Health
The 101st Annual Meeting of the Daytona Regional Chamber of Commerce presented by Halifax Health will be a two-part celebration. Overcoming the challenges of 2020 and looking ahead to a new year requires double the fun and excitement for the Daytona Regional Chamber’s largest affair.

Part 1: A Livestreamed Business Meeting
A virtual celebration will take place on January 27 at 4 p.m. This livestream program will feature:

Introduction of 2021 Chairman
Len Marinaccio, Bomar Construction, and his vision for the coming year

A video retrospective on the last year

Celebrity appearances you won’t want to miss
The Soup Nazi from Seinfeld, Corporal Klinger from M*A*S*H, Akbar Gbaja-Biamila from American Ninja Warrior and more!

The Daytona Regional Chamber will also present two of its most prestigious awards, the J. Hyatt Brown Enterprise Award and the Glenn Ritchey Community Service Award. Here are this year's honorees:

Part 2: A Must-Attend In-Person Celebration
In addition to the virtual livestream portion of the annual meeting, an in-person reception and celebration will take place later in the year when gathering can be done safely. Knowing the pent up desire to engage in face-to-face interaction, this celebration will be magnificent and will feature the networking, entertainment, and social aspects that attendees have come to know and love about the Daytona Regional Chamber’s largest annual event. Details on date, time, and location for the in-person celebration will be forthcoming.

Daytona Regional Chamber's Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Council Begins Work
The Daytona Regional Chamber’s new Equity Diversity & Inclusion Council, led by Carmen Ruiz, FASTSIGNS of Daytona Beach, had it’s first meeting to develop the outreach and programming for the Daytona Business United Minority Scholarship Program. 

This two-year pilot program is intended to immerse minority-owned businesses in the Daytona Regional Chamber and provide customized education, counseling and mentorship. The Small Business Development Center is a key partner in the program. 

Funding for the program will run through the Daytona Regional Chamber’s Foundation, a 501(c)3 entity. AT&T is our founding partner, providing the first eight scholarships for the program.

New County Council Chair Jeff Brower Speaks at January Eggs & Issues
The Daytona Regional Chamber hosted newly elected Volusia County Council Chair Jeff Brower during the first Zoom into Eggs & Issues in the new year, on Thursday, January 14.

Brower shared his priorities as he begins his term as County Council Chair. Daytona Regional Chamber Members also had the opportunities to ask questions and discuss the issues important to the business community.
