Exciting times are ahead as we kick off our Vista Campanario project in Camarillo! Habitat Ventura will begin building eight affordable homes for sale this summer and we want you to be a part of it!
We're inviting you to book your summer Team Build! We'll be framing on the Camarillo job site from July 17 to August 21, so schedule your group with us today!
Team Builds are a fantastic way to give back to the community, strengthen team bonds, and make a tangible impact. No experience is needed—just bring your enthusiasm and willingness to help.

Join us for Women Build on Saturday, June 22!
This year, Women Build participants will collaborate on a Habitat Home Repair project in Thousand Oaks, CA. Participants will assist several low-income homeowners with vital repairs on their homes, allowing them to remain in their homes safely and comfortably for the long term.
Volunteer opportunities, sponsorship package and tickets are still available! By supporting Women Build, you're making a meaningful impact in the lives of families in need.

Habitat Ventura is honored to spotlight our dedicated supporters, Milgard Windows & Doors and Morton Wealth!
Recently, both Milgard Windows & Doors and Morton Wealth staff participated in Playhouse Build events, where participants constructed and decorated playhouses that were donated to local military families with young children -- providing joy and creating lasting memories for these deserving families.
Our Playhouse Builds offer a unique opportunity for teams to not only contribute to our mission of providing safe, affordable housing but also to interact directly with military and veteran families. Seeing the smiles on children's faces as they receive their playhouses is truly priceless and speaks volumes about the impact of our sponsors' support.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to both organizations for their dedication to improving the lives of others and for their ongoing commitment to making a positive difference in our community.

Governor Newsom's budget proposal for 2024-25 directly impacts the ability of organizations like Habitat to build and repair homes. The proposed claw-back of $152.5M in funding allocated for the CalHome program poses a significant challenge for us and many other California Habitat for Humanity affiliates.
We believe in the power of united voices, and we're providing you with everything you need to join us in advocating for the CalHome program:

Step 2:
The goal is to keep the reinstatement of CalHome funding on the priority list for our state legislators. Due to the political climate and the state of the budget, these efforts is targeting key elected leaders, namely the administration and those chairing and serving on the various budget committees in the legislature.
Your involvement is crucial in securing funding for the CalHome program.

This month, we are thrilled to share the inspiring story of Joan, a vibrant 78-year-old who has dedicated her life to caring for her family and community.
Joan's aging mobile home had become almost unlivable, with 16 damaged windows causing severe temperature issues and health risks.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our supporters and the hard work of Habitat Ventura volunteers, Joan's home has been completely transformed. New windows, fresh paint, and even pet care during the renovations have made a world of difference. Joan now enjoys a safe, comfortable, and loving home.
