Governor Newsom's budget proposal for 2024-25, directly impacts our ability to build and repair homes. The proposed claw-back of $152.5M in funding allocated for the CalHome program poses a significant challenge for us and many other California Habitat for Humanity affiliates.

We believe in the power of united voices, and we're providing you with everything you need to join us in advocating for the CalHome program:

Join us for Women Build on Sat. June 22

Habitat Ventura invites you to join us for our Women Build event on Saturday, June 22, 2024! This special event brings together women from all backgrounds to tackle the housing crisis facing Ventura County families.

At Women Build, participants will roll up their sleeves and volunteer in a Habitat Home Repair build, assisting low-income homeowners with crucial repairs.

This year, participants will enjoy a day filled with meaningful work, inspiring presentations, and the chance to connect with Habitat staff, volunteers, board members, and partner families. Together, we'll raise awareness and funds to support women and families in accessing decent, affordable housing.
