When George came to the food pantry at Three Chopt Presbyterian Church (TCPC) last year he had been homeless for several months, living under a tarp in the woods near Regency Square.

As the congregation began working with George, they knew food alone would not be enough. It was soon obvious he had significant health problems. It was then, that a TCPC member told George about CrossOver, and gave him the information he would need to enroll as a patient.

When he came for his first appointment he was having trouble breathing, and a volunteer doctor quickly diagnosed him with pneumonia. We were able to prescribe him antibiotics and he was soon on the mend. Since then, we have continued to provide him with services to address ongoing medical issues.
