Dear Friend,

We have many new blogs, events, and a few new jobs for you to catch up on in this week's newsletter!

Leaders in Energy participated in the "From Homo sapiens to Geo sapiens – The Quest for the Earth-wise" event on June 6th with EcoAction Arlington. Martin Ogle, Founder of Entrepreneurial Earth, gave a very thoughtful presentation on how humans can live in ways that are more in sync with Earth as a living system. While this particular session was not recorded, you can see an earlier presentation that he made in Boulder, Colorado (in 2016) on this topic titled "Gaia in Mind; A Fresh Look at Earth and Sustainability."

Workshop - Build Your EQ Skills to Create Powerful Collaborations for Change
Build Your EQ* Skills to Create Powerful Collaborations for Change - June 29th, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm

Want to become a better leader of the green movement? Attend this workshop to learn how to answer questions like "How can I successfully motivate others, and myself, and harness our big ‘Why(s)’ in support of successful outcomes?" The event will help you identify personal strengths, understand what makes others "tick", and increase your ability to motivate others behind a united cause. Tailored for people in the “green” fields, you will interact with others who have also experienced challenges with leading and managing people as part of green programs, projects, services, and initiatives.

In the workshop, you will:
  • Identify a current workplace challenge and map specific actions to support successful outcomes.
  • Recognize your personal "Brain Style" and how this impacts your focus, decision-making, and drive in your role as a people manager.
  • Gain insight into the "Brain Profiles" of others, and how this can be used to improve interactions.
  • Identify your "Brain Talents" and how these can be leveraged to improve your effectiveness in leading, collaborating, and working with others to increase performance.

*What is E.Q.?   It is a renowned management and leadership training which teaches us to recognize our unique strengths and abilities, and the strengths and abilities of others – which can be very different from our own. By understanding more about ourselves, and recognizing the attributes and patterns that motivate others, we are better able to lead others and create productive collaborations.

Learn more here about the workshop which also includes a personalized profile and 50+ page workbook from Six Seconds for you to use into the future

Early bird pricing for the workshop is $110 thru June 21st, and $125 after that date. There is also a student/job seeker category of $99 thru June 21st and $115 after that date.
