Rabbi's Table Dinner with Nolan Gasser

Friday, January 31

6:00pm

A new way to welcome Shabbat! Join us for a catered Shabbat dinner and learn from our special guest speaker, Dr. Nolan Gasser. Dr. Gasser, a former congregant and friend of Rabbi Kramer, is a composer, pianist, author and musicologist - most notably, the architect of Pandora Radio’s Music Genome Project. His best-selling 2019 book Why You Like It: The Science and Culture of Musical Taste, is also the focus of his PBS special. Dr. Gasser will help us understand Jewish music’s unique attributes and emotional appeal, from cantillation to klezmer.

Cost is $20 per person for dinner.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

We will be closed through January 7.

You can still shop online or at TTCBJ.org and click on the word "Shop" at the top.

Hours:

Wednesdays - Fridays, 11:00am - 2:00pm

Sundays, 9:00am - 12:00pm, when Yalla! is in session

We will be closed from December 28 - January 7 so that we can all enjoy the New Year.

Appointments outside our regular hours can be made by contacting Marcia Soltz at msoltz@gmail.com or Pam Auerbach at sampowerpak@gmail.com.

We are run by Sisterhood women volunteers. All of our proceeds benefit B'nai Jehudah. Why shop for Judaica anywhere else?

From the Klein Collection: Hanukkah Menorah

Made by British silver manufacturer Walker and Hall in 1903, this Hanukkah menorah resembles a flowering branch. This piece is part of our current Hanukkah temporary display. See it with other hanukkiahs made with organic shapes and styles!

Want to learn more about the Klein Collection or schedule a group tour? Contact Abby Magariel at curator@bnaijehudah.org for more information.
