The FPA of Michigan's theme for 2022 is "Building Community". While the FPA of Michigan Committees begin planning programming and events for 2022, we want to make sure we stop and listen to our members. We value your opinion and want to hear from you to help us shape 2022.

Pro Bono Opportunity
The FPA of Michigan is exploring a pro bono opportunity with Junior Achievement (JA) and we would like to know if you are interested in participating as a volunteer. Below is information about the opportunity.
 
  • Volunteers will participate in a Financial Literacy Program which will be presented to high school students in Detroit.

  • JA will provide all the necessary training and materials. Volunteers are asked to present the materials.

  • This program will be offered "virtually" during the Spring of 2022. Volunteers will need to commit to once a week for 1 hour over an 8 week period.

  • Please note that this opportunity is for FPA members only and pro bono training is not a pre-requisite.

On February 4, 2022, the FPA of Michigan will be hosting their 2nd Annual Student Success Summit for University Students aspiring to enter the financial planning profession.

At the end of the event, we will wrap up with open interviews and networking. If your firm is looking to hire top talent, please be sure and Save the Date! More information on how employers can participate will be posted shortly.

Women & Finance Knowledge Circle Committee News ...
The FPA of Michigan Women & Finance Knowledge Circle Committee are excited to announce that Patty Kreamer of Productivity Uncorked will be presenting "HELP! I'm Out of Control Before my First Cup of Coffee" at their first event of 2022! The event will be on January 27th from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm. Registration will open soon. In the meantime, be sure and mark your calendar!
