2022 was a dynamic year for Strangers No Longer! Here are some highlights:
SNL Advocacy team and the Immigrant Women Circles created a Platform for Dignity to guide our local efforts for a more welcoming community.
We hosted the nationally recognized Sr. Norma Pimentel, Director of Catholic Charities Rio Grande Valley.
We elected a new board of directors, 15 people – 7 immigrant leaders and 8 non-immigrants.
We held our first Assembly for Human dignity, where 350 people gathered to press state and county officials for their support.
10 Catholic High Schools brought delegations of students to our 2nd High School Conference.
We are planning our first Advocacy Day, gathering SNL members and friends to meet with our legislators in Lansing to urge passage of the Drive Safe bills.
