2022 was a dynamic year for Strangers No Longer! Here are some highlights:
  • SNL Advocacy team and the Immigrant Women Circles created a Platform for Dignity to guide our local efforts for a more welcoming community.
  • We hosted the nationally recognized Sr. Norma Pimentel, Director of Catholic Charities Rio Grande Valley.
  • We elected a new board of directors, 15 people – 7 immigrant leaders and 8 non-immigrants.
  • We held our first Assembly for Human dignity, where 350 people gathered to press state and county officials for their support.
  • 10 Catholic High Schools brought delegations of students to our 2nd High School Conference. 
  • We are planning our first Advocacy Day, gathering SNL members and friends to meet with our legislators in Lansing to urge passage of the Drive Safe bills.
