Building Relationships and Innovation

Geoffrey Anderson, Melissa Knee, and Rachel Kornfeld recently attended the NJHSA ExecNET Conference in Los Angeles. Executives and senior staff from across the nation met to connect, share knowledge, and build meaningful relationships that strengthen the broader network of social service organizations.

We’re excited about the insights, innovative tools, and fresh ideas our team brought back from this enriching experience, helping to better serve our community and continue making a positive impact.

Community Leaders Work Together to Combat Food Insecurity

JFS is proud to partner with Foodshed Network in their ongoing efforts to address food insecurity. Last week, the Foodshed Network hosted A Tale of Two Counties, bringing together local leaders to discuss how we can work together to ensure everyone has access to healthy, affordable food. The event featured a panel of experts who explored the barriers that prevent some individuals from obtaining the food they need.

Beth Jabick, JFS Director of Volunteer Services was inspired by the meaningful discussions and collaborative energy aimed at creating real change in our community!

Bringing Thanksgiving Joy to Families in Need

A heartfelt thank you to our incredible partners for their generous contributions of Thanksgiving side dishes this week. Your support makes a meaningful difference, providing families in need with warm and joyful holiday meals.

Special thanks to our generous donors, volunteers and community partners: Brunswick School, Greenwich Country Day School, Temple Sholom, The Friendly Fridge, UJA-JCC, Zach and Logan and the students from Westhill High School and Cassidy and the students from Turn of River Middle School for generously providing all the essentials side dishes for their Thanksgiving meals.

We are deeply grateful for their thoughtful contributions and continued support!
