The Mission Statement of Hope Lutheran Church is “To Know Christ and to Make Christ Known.” We are carrying out Christ’s Great Commission by reaching out to all people to bring them to faith in Christ.

Hope Lutheran South Campus Building Project

The Hope Lutheran Strategic Planning Committee has spent many hours working with the Steering Committee and several subcommittees to identify the future facility needs to support our mission and vision. We are in the preliminary stages of this process which has involved data gathering, planning discussions and authorizing Dickerson Architects to prepare preliminary design drawings and cost estimates.

We are committed to:

AESTHETICS

Exterior elevations & architectural features and forms say “church”--Visually prominent Bell Tower and Cross expressing church symbolism--Take advantage of site views and vistas--Maximize our potential to connect to the Florida outdoor environment actively and visually with outdoor spaces.

EFFICIENCY AND EFFICACY

Each space must demonstrate the ability to change with the needs of the parishioners.

MULTI-USE SPACES

Every room must be designed with flexibility in mind. Church spaces are often only used on Sundays, and only by those who already worship there. Creating a diverse range of multi-purpose rooms allows for maximum efficiency. Depending on current need, with a quick shift of furniture, these spaces can easily be utilized for casual fellowship, choir practice, education and more. The narthex and courtyard allow worshippers to gather before the service. A cafe, comfortable seating, and access to literature that the congregation can enjoy prior to joining together in the multi-purpose space enhances the worship experience.

FELLOWSHIP SPACES

Our church must speak to its worshippers and reflect the community that it exists in. Providing casual gathering areas both inside and outside is one way to invite the community in. Courtyards and pavilions allow families to enjoy the church outside of ministry on Sunday. If people enjoy our church for non-worship events, they are more likely to return for church services.

DIGITAL INTEGRATION

Technology has influenced the church permanently and demands wi-fi connections and global connectedness as churchgoers become increasingly tech-savvy. Our church will consider the use of the latest technology to leverage our ability to reach as many worshipers as possible.
