Mon., 7/13, 1 pm. Ukulele Club. Jason and Sheri Wells-Jensen from the Grande Royale Ukulelists of the Black Swamp are back on FaceBook Live. and welcome you to Ukulele Club sessions each Monday. Learn new skills, brush up your playing technique, or stop by to hang out with the cool kids. All ages, no ukulele or experience needed. Join Jason and Sheri live, on FaceBook, Mondays at 1 pm.

Youth Summer Reading Program, "Imagine Your Story!"

This year Summer Reading Program takes place all online. Register your child by visiting wcdpl.readsquared.com . Watch the library's website, wcdpl.org , our FaceBook page , and local media to keep up-to-date on Summer Reading Program activities and opportunities. Those registered through wcdpl.readsquared.com will receive occassion emails with Summer Reading Program news and are automatically entered into drawings held throughout the summer. SRP ends August 31.

When WCDPL is closed, you can self-register for a temporary library which will allow you to borrow eBooks, magazines, downloadable audiobooks, and more.

Here's how to self-register:

Use this link to register for a temporary library card account.
From the pull down menu, be sure to select Wood County District Public Library from the list of libraries
Complete and submit the registration form in the pop-up window
Make a note of your user id information and keep it where you can find it

Ohio Digital Library - borrow eBooks, magazines, and downloadable audiobooks
Flipster - borrow magazines
Hoopla - borrow eBooks, downloadable audiobooks, music, movies, and TV programs. No waiting your selections are available immediately.

*Temporary cards will expire September 30. We hope you'll consider stopping by the library during our Express Service hours, where you can register for your permanent library card.

Free Books for Wood County Kids, from Newborn to Age 5

The Ohio Governor's Imagination Library, in partnership with Dolly Parton's Imagination Library sends a free book each month to children enrolled in the Imagination Library program.

Enroll your child today at:

This partnership also includes the United Way in Wood County and Wood County's seven independent libraries. Learn more about the partnership that brought the Ohio Governor's Imagination Library and Dolly Parton's Imagination Library to Wood County children by visiting:

NOTE: Delivery service between Ohio libraries is still unavailable. Staff can only fill requests with items that are in the library building at the time a request is made..
