Dear Friends and Family of Habitat,
At Nevada County Habitat for Humanity, we know that building homes takes more than nails and lumber—it takes community. We’re honored to spotlight two of our long-standing partners whose recent and historical contributions reflect the spirit of generosity and collaboration that makes our work possible.
We want to extend heartfelt thanks to C&D Contractors, who are currently performing the site preparation work at our next build site. While this is a major investment on our part, C&D has consistently shown their support, generosity, and partnership over the years—and this project is no exception. Owners Charlie Faber and David Petty have been reliable allies in our mission, always there when we need them. Their skilled team is laying the groundwork—literally—for more families to achieve strength, stability, and self-reliance through affordable homeownership.
Also, Diamond Pacific has been one of our vital suppliers of lumber for our home construction for many years. A recent, incredibly generous donation to our ReStore truly stands out. This contribution included high-quality doors, windows, hardware, and building materials—an invaluable gift that will directly support affordable housing in our community. We are deeply grateful for their continued commitment to helping us build a better Nevada County.
To both of these partners: thank you for building alongside us. Your contributions help lay the foundation for homes, hope, and a stronger community.
With Gratitude,
Lorraine Larson
Executive Director
