HomeAid Atlanta’s mission is to help people experiencing or at risk of homelessness build new lives through construction, community engagement, and education.

2024 HomeAid Happenings

This year, HomeAid Atlanta plans to finish all of our projects that experienced delays in 2023:

Adding 31 beds for women and mothers overcoming addiction at Breakthru House
Nine affordable housing units for veterans at Veterans Empowerment Organization (VEO)
One family visitation center for foster youth at North Georgia Angel House
One supportive service building at Gigi's House that includes space for 20 girls escaping sex trafficking to go to school.

In addition to our projects, we’ll have 10+ Care Days, assemble 5,000 CareKits and hold our 23rd Annual Essentials Drive.

We are continuing to work on affordable housing with HouseATL, the City of Atlanta’s Faith-Based Affordable Housing Initiative, Georgia Tech, our service provider partners, and really anyone who will listen.

HomeAid Atlanta made great strides in our work to build a future without homelessness in 2023:

Seven construction projects were in progress to provide hope and homes for 57 people in need.
We completed a homeownership education center to help people learn about affordable housing in Gwinnett County.
Volunteers completed 13 HomeAid Care Days, providing a savings of over $400,000 for our nonprofit partners.
Our 22nd Annual Essentials Drive brought in over 200,000 essential baby items for families in need.
Volunteers packed over 3,000 HomeAid CareKits over the course of the year.
