Strengthening Support for Adolescents and Families Through Collaboration

The Bennett Center for Behavioral Health is proud to partner with Greenwich Hospital’s Adolescent Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) clinical team to support adolescents and families in our community.

Our teams work together to provide compassionate care for teens facing mental health challenges. By ensuring a seamless connection between services, we help young people build coping skills, strengthen resilience, and move toward lasting well-being.

Together, we are creating stronger pathways for healing and ensuring families feel supported every step of the way.

JFS was proud to be represented at PowerNET 2026: Meeting the Moment, the annual conference of the Network of Jewish Human Service Agencies (NJHSA). Geoffrey Anderson, Beth Jabick, Rachel Kornfeld, Melissa Knee, and Hazem Algebraeel joined more than 500 professionals, leaders, funders, and partner organizations from across the U.S. for learning, connection, and collaboration.

This year’s conference emphasized the value of sharing knowledge, strengthening partnerships, and working collectively to support resilient communities. Through workshops, discussions, and networking opportunities, attendees explored innovative approaches and exchanged best practices from across the field. Our team chaired presentations and engaged actively with colleagues, supporting and amplifying the incredible work of NJHSA. Rachel and Geoffrey also participated in the Clinical Deep Dive, presenting on how JFS has tailored behavioral health delivery to make services more accessible, easier to staff, and sustainable over time.

Our team returned energized and inspired, bringing back new ideas and insights to strengthen JFS programs and services. Participation in PowerNET reflects our ongoing commitment to collaboration, continuous learning, and delivering high quality, responsive care to those we serve.

JFS was proud to support the incredible mission of Thames River Community Service (TRCS), an organization making a meaningful impact for families in Norwich.

With funding from Global City Norwich and a strong partnership with Executive Director Michael Vaz, JFS is now providing behavioral health services and job readiness opportunities to the TRCS community.

TRCS is doing extraordinary work, supporting young adult families as they navigate homelessness and life’s challenges. We are grateful to stand alongside such a dedicated community partner, working together to build stability and hope.

Our heartfelt thanks go to Jen Donnalley and Greenwich Country Day School for their generous donation of 50 bags of food to support our clients. Each bag represents compassion, dignity, and a commitment to caring for neighbors in need.

At a time when many families are facing uncertainty, these thoughtful contributions help ensure that individuals and families in our community have access to nutritious food and feel supported. This act of kindness is a powerful reminder of what is possible when a community comes together with purpose and generosity!

Each week, Michele Weisman and Steven Gruntfest volunteer their time picking up and delivering donated food to local schools and families in need. “Every week, we’re uplifted knowing we’ve made a small but meaningful difference,” they share—especially when it comes to helping children and parents facing food insecurity.

They also value the added joy that comes from connecting with the compassionate, caring community that JFS of Greenwich brings together.
