Clean water for God's thirsty children
Building a Community
of Support

We've been telling you about our exciting new initiative, helping bring clean water to God's thirsty children of the Navajo Nation in the southwestern United States.

Now we have some great news: the support team continues to grow stronger each week.

With the money we have raised so far, we are preparing to launch in partnership with Roger Willie, a Navajo who teaches on the reservation. Roger also had a supporting role in the movie about the US Marine Navajo Code Talkers we wrote about last week.

Adam Beach, another actor in the movie who is of Ojibwa heritage, is assisting with the fund raising. Gertrude Wilson, a wonderful liturgical artist, is illustrating the training materials designed specifically for use by the Navajo. And our friend Darrel Larson from Sawyer Products, source of the PointONE filters, is helping from the manufacturing side.

And we have a special helper, a 6-year-old girl named Lydia. For her birthday recently, she asked her parents if she could do something for children without clean water. Now they have joined the Water With Blessings team, and Lydia will be with us on this week's Coffee Chat, telling us how she learned about this important cause.
You Can Join The Team

More than $50,000 has been raised so far to support this
critically important project. That means we are approaching
700 families who will be drinking and cooking with clean water.

Imagine the joy of these families and the relief the mothers will feel when they know their children will be safe from water-borne illness.

But we need your help. Please consider joining the team
by clicking on the link below.
The Power of One: You make it happen!

The picture above shows the power of one taking place. One donor made a gift of $75 and provided one Water Woman with one Sawyer PointONE filter and one bucket. She has received her training, and has committed to providing clean water to her own and 3 other families.

Thank you for making this life-saving work happen, day after day!
The Gift of the Spirit
Today many churches around the world are celebrating the gift of God's Holy Spirit to the followers of Jesus.

Those of us at Water With Blessings see this Spirit moving among the wonderful people we meet on our trips to the areas we serve. We see it in their smiles, hear it in their laughter, witness it in the care they have for one another.

And we see it every day in the office when the mail comes and we open the envelopes. Or get the reports from online giving.

The Spirit is alive in you, and we thank God every day for the Blessings you help us share.

May God continue to bless you for your generosity.
Above you can see a child drinking her first glass of clean water. And the woman looking on knows that when the time comes, her own child will benefit from the same filter and bucket that came from one of our generous donors.

A Virtual Open Seat is Waiting for You
at the Coffee Chat Table
This weekly conversation has been a great source of mutual support during this trying time.

And as we said, this week we will be joined by 6-year-old Lydia, who has joined us in the effort to bring clean water to children who aren't as fortunate as she is.

Please join us this Friday at 9am. You'll be glad you did.
We believe every child should be drinking clean water. Are you with us?
