THE COUNCIL CONNECT

October 2025

With the seasonal transition, I find myself reflecting on this past year, the beginning of my time at MSAC, and all of the wonderful new experiences I’ve gained through our various programs. From quarterly council meetings and office hours events to site visits and public art dedications, I'm grateful for the opportunities I've had to visit so many parts of our incredible state and see our work in action.

This month, we had the pleasure of bringing Arts & Entertainment (A&E) District leadership from across the state to Silver Spring and Wheaton for a day of professional development and connection. The convening, hosted annually, featured fruitful conversations with region managers, a panel with the A&E Advisory Committee, district tours, and strategic discussions on marketing. It was a jam-packed day full of energy from both new and familiar faces!

Events like the A&E convening fill me with optimism for the continued growth and impact of the arts in Maryland. I look forward to what’s in store as we work to build a vibrant and creative future for all!
