Dear Trinity Family,

If you were with us in worship this past Sunday, you heard the latest update about our "Building Up, Living It Out" Vision construction project as well as a finance update through May 31, 2019.

If you weren't able to be with us, you may  click here to watch a video  of what was shared with the congregation. You may also click here to view the statement that was shared by Randy Larson, our Building Finance Chair.
If you took time to read the insert included in Sunday's worship guide, the information below will be familiar to you. If you didn't get a chance to, please read on for some important information.

We are praising God for His faithfulness in continuing to provide the financial resources needed for our congregation's growing ministry and missions commitments. At their January meeting, your Elders approved a budget for 2019 that represents an increase of 2% over the prior year. This was primarily due to increased state and federal liability, health, and workman’s compensation insurance premiums as well as California’s minimum wage increase. Because our budget has always been faith-based, we continue to trust God for His provision through the generous giving of His people.

One of our purposes for this letter is to let you know our financial status through the end of May.

  • Our 2019 budget through May 31 was $840,000
  • Actual expenses through May 31 were $816,000
  • Actual giving through May 31 was $752,500 (not including new building giving)

At their upcoming meeting on Tuesday evening, June 25, your Elders will spend time praying together about the shortfall in giving compared to budget and expenses. This year-to-date shortfall is consistent with what we have seen in previous years (through May), and we are trusting God to abundantly provide in the remaining months of the year just as He has so faithfully done in the past. Because summer giving is usually less than other times of the year, we are asking each of you to join us in doing the following:

1) Please pray daily that God will provide all that is needed to meet our church's ministry and missions commitments for the balance of the year. Pray also that He will lead each individual and family in our congregation to be faithful and sacrificial in their giving through the remainder of the summer. "And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:19

2) Continue to be faithful and generous in your giving through the summer months. "But as you excel in everything... see that you also excel in this grace of giving." II Corinthians 8:7

3) Continue to be faithful in your weekly worship attendance through the summer.  "Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another - and all the more as you see the Day drawing near." Hebrews 10:25
