SUMMER 2019
BUILDING ON FAITH newsletter
Building on Faith Week Takes Place in September
As part of our annual celebration of our faith partnerships, we're marking Building on Faith Week from September 18 to 21. Our theme this year is “the Golden Rule” (also known as the law of reciprocity) as it is present in all kinds of diverse religions while still emphasizing a spirit of unity that builds our communities and glorifies God. How can you be a part of this year’s Building on Faith Week? Here are some ideas: write a prayer or devotion based on the Golden Rule; prepare and/or donate lunches for Habitat volunteer crews; participate in a Habitat house build; participate in a panel build*; write a blessing on the walls of the homes; collect offerings or contribute directly to help us create affordable housing opportunities in Harford and Cecil counties.

* What is a panel build? It's a fun way for a church, business, organization, etc. to get together as a sponsor and build the walls to a Habitat home. If you're interested in doing a panel build in the future, contact Director of Development Megan Lally at 410-638-4434 ext. 7240 to learn more about it!
