Since our beginning in 1976, Habitat has been built on a foundation of faith. Our mission is to build safe, affordable housing with people in the U.S. and around the world, and that comes from a desire to put God's love into action. We are God's hands and feet, here to serve others and show them His love.

We're in need of a church to house
our upcoming Collegiate Challenge group
Can you help or give us a resource that can?

Each year students have been working with Habitat Susquehanna during their alternative school break by volunteering at our builds. We've been fortunate to have churches step in and offer a room in their building (we provide the blow-up beds!) to house them for the week. All the students need is access to a bathroom & kitchen. (They go to the local Y to shower.)

Can you help us out? We have all of our groups housed by churches except one -- a group coming from the University of Delaware on March 24 to 31.

Please contact Brianne Young ASAP if you can help OR if you can recommend possible contacts to whom we can reach out. Brianne is at

Faith Relations Committee
Meetings starting soon....

The Faith Relations Committee will be meeting and we're seeking additional members! If interested, contact Nijah Barnes at 410-638-4434 ext 7  for more information.

Panel builds, such as the recent one pictured here with St. Margaret Parish, are another way for the faith community to help a Habitat homebuyer. During a panel build, a sponsor has the opportunity to build the walls to a Habitat home right at their place of worship. Panel builds promote team building and volunteerism.
