BULKY ITEM DROP-OFF DAY ON SATURDAY
Come on out and fill up the 9 roll-off dumpsters and one metal dumpster we'll have there, and put our new grapple truck to work!

When: Saturday 6/5/21

Time: We will start at 8 am.
We will end at noon or when we are full, whichever comes first.

Who: Ector County residents only - we are not accepting commercial (business) drop-offs.
Cost: Free

The benefit to you: Besides being free this time, it also means you don't need to go to the landfill, fulfill the safety and load requirements, and dump yourself.

This day is sponsored and operated by the Ector County Environmental Enforcement division.
WHAT CHANGED - HOW CAN THE COUNTY DO THIS NOW?

Using funds from the 1.25% sales tax that voters established, in addition to fines paid by companies caught illegally dumping, the County purchased roll-off dumpsters. Now that we have the grapple truck to transport and dump them, we do not need to pay someone to do this for us. This gives the County the freedom to schedule these days with confidence. It also saves you money because the County can dump for a lesser rate at the landfill versus what you pay when going there.

We expect there will be a charge in the future. As your Commissioner, I am committed to keeping it low.
IT TAKES ALL OF US - VOLUNTEER TO HELP YOUR NEIGHBORS
Check with your neighbors and see if you can bring something for them. We have elderly folks who cannot keep up with their properties who would be thankful for the help.

Also, stop and pick up bulky items in alleys and roadways and bring them over.
